Washington State Oil Train Legislation:
Based on the recommendations of the last year’s preliminary Washington State Oil Transportation Study there have been two bills introduced in the Washington State Senate to address oil train safety.
One bill, introduced by Republican Doug Ericksen, has the backing of the oil industry, because it doesn’t do much. The other bill has been introduced by Democrats at the request of Governor Inslee.

Action:
We will be driving a 15 passenger van up to Olympia on February 3rd to the Washington State Capitol to testify on this bill at 1:30 PM. The van will be leaving Hood River at 10 AM and return around 6:30 PM.
