Presentation and discussion at CGCAN monthly meeting: Climate change, fire and an informed future

Is it only a matter of time before a town in the Gorge gets leveled by a super fire like the one in Paradise, CA last year? Are the current “firewise” recommendations for homeowners obsolete? OSU climate scientist David Noone will speak on climate change and impacts on wildfires at the CGCAN monthly meeting, Monday at 6:30, at Hood River Riverside Church.

We’ll convene for our regular dinner (potluck optional) at 6:00. Following Dr. Noone’s talk and Q&A we’ll be discussing the options around a proposed Declaration of Climate Emergency by the Hood River City Council and announcing upcoming events.
