Our Experiences of Standing Rock and What’s Next

March 12, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

In November, five Gorge women, Camilla Blossom Bishop, Emma Matson, Kyla Rae, Saliha Abrams, & Heather Kowalewski traveled to Standing Rock, taking with them the love and support of this beautiful community. They will lead a Community Sharing Circle & Ceremony to reflect on their experiences traveling to Standing Rock. The prayerful, peaceful action grounding the Standing Rock movement will be embodied at this event, including a short guided ceremony to send prayers and positive energies to our own waters and beyond. We will be actively DREAMING IN the earth we want to see and planting the seeds of our imagination.

Feel free to bring altar items (e.g. local waters, crystals/rocks, pictures, feathers, anything that connects you to nature and healing)

While specific experiences will be shared, this is not a presentation – community dialouge is encouraged. Standing Rock is an inspiration to take action on all levels in our own community. We want to hear how you are making a difference and how we can come together to co-create a harmonious, peaceful world in balance with nature and all of life! What ways do you protect the waters and Mother Earth? Activists and others will be sharing ways to get involved.

Doors open at 5pm on Sunday March 12th at North Shore Cafe. Ceremony will open talking circle at 5:30pm. Talking Circle 5:30-7pm– all welcome to share. Stay or join afterwards to keep sharing!

Water is Life, Water Connects Us All, All Ages and All People are Welcome to Join Us
