National Drive Electric Week Event – Vancouver, WA

Thinking about zeroing your transportation footprint while wrecking the Koch brothers and oil companies? Come see and learn about at least 8 models of electric vehicles! Or come and show your electric vehicle (EV) and share your experiences.
Currently we have owners of Chevy Bolts, Kia Souls, Nissan LEAFs, Mitsubishi i-MiEV, BMW and Tesla models coming. Take a walk around the fair to see all of the great booths and meet some really nice people too. We will once again be mainly on the bricked plaza, SE corner of the park near the clock tower. Forth Mobility will have a Bolt for test drives plus lots of EV facts on the north side of the bandstand. People are always shocked to discover how inexpensive it is to maintain EVs and what a blast it is to drive these cars, so let’s share the joy and make some converts!
Some important EV news updates:
- Electrify America’s first phase of DC fast chargers (DCFCs) are planned to be installed by the end of 2018, enabling a public nation-wide EV charging similar to the proprietary Tesla supercharger network.
- The current Nissan Leaf model has a 150-mile range, and the 2019 Leaf is rumored to have over 225 miles of range.
- Tesla’s Model 3 is now by far the most popular EV in the US. Tesla’s $7500 federal tax credit will expire at the end of 2018.
This is the second year at which this Electric Vehicle (EV) event will be joined with the Vancouver Peace and Justice Fair. From purchased off the dealer lot to funky conversions, we welcome all EVs (bikes too!). If you can’t stay the whole time, then just come on by without your car and join in the fun.
