Columbia River Gorge Commission Listening Session

The Gorge Commission and the Forest Service are holding the last of their three “listening sessions” Tuesday, Feb. 28, for the upcoming review of the Management Plan for the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. This is a great chance to talk to the Gorge Commission and Forest Service and tell them how to improve Gorge protection.
The purpose of these listening sessions is to hear from the public about their concerns and how the Plan should be strengthened to better protect the Gorge from threats like rail expansion and fossil fuel transport, as well as impacts to recreation, cultural resources, and more. The Gorge Commission and Forest Service need to hear that you care about the protection of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area and want them to strengthen protections.
