CGCAN Solstice Party!

CGCAN will celebrate the holiday season and Solstice with a kid-friendly festive potluck supper and program on December 17 at Wildwood Academy in Hood River. We’ll feature youth voices from the Hood River Earth Action Club who recently spoke in support of the Youth vs Gov climate trial in Eugene, called by some the trial of the century. This trial asks the fundamental question, “Do we as youth have a constitutional right to a safe and stable climate?”

Oregon District 52 Representative Elect Anna Williams will speak on the Climate Movement and Political Possibilities, which will be followed by an open discussion. The evening will also feature holiday sing along music and songs from keyboardist Tim Mayer.

Rounding out the evening Biologist Bill Weiler and Aliveness Coach Ellen Donoghue, PhD will present an interactive performance call “Wooing Wonder!”. It be a night of celebration, song, and companionship with Gorge Friends, old and new.

Doors will open at 6:00 PM at Wildwood Academy, 13 Railroad Avenue in Hood River on 12/17/18. For the potluck, please bring a salad, dessert, side or main dish and your own cup, plate and silverware.
