Living in the Era of Mega-Fires

May 24, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for a free community presentation:
“Living in the Era of Mega-Fires”

The Era of Mega Fires is a 60-minute multi-media presentation, that by promoting public education and community engagement, will lead to reduced destruction caused by wildfires, and increase the resiliency of forests, individuals and the communities that experience wildfires.

The Era of Mega-Fires is a multi-media, traveling presentation hosted by Dr. Paul Hessburg. Dr. Hessburg is with the Pacific Northwest Research Station, in Wenatchee, WA, and the University of Washington, Seattle, where he has conducted fire and landscape ecology research for more than 27 years. The presented material comes in the form of fast-moving, short, topic-based talks interspersed with compelling video vignettes. Think Ted X mixed with snappy documentary shorts.

Doors open 30 minutes before the presentation.
