Noon-1:15 pm: Geek Lunch: Technology Disruptions in Clean Energy

April 21, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Join the Gorge Tech Alliance for a Geek Lunch online, celebrating Earth Month in the Gorge!

Presenter Eric Strid will discuss how technology disruptions are fundamental to the culture of electronics, but new to energy markets. Savvy clean-energy companies have created new market positions and climate hope by understanding learning rates and cost trajectories. The next decade will bring plenty of new energy technologies, winners, bankruptcies, policy battles, and paradigm shifts.

Eric Strid is a retired high-tech entrepreneur and CEO, now working for our children on climate policy. Eric is a co-convener of the Columbia Gorge Climate Action Network, writes The Strid Energy Report, and serves on the Hood River County Energy Council and the boards of npArbor, Inc. and the Green Energy Institute.

GTA Geek Lunch is free for all to attend; this month features a no-host lunch, delivered to your house (by you).

Prior to the meeting please review the Zoom best practices page by clicking here.
