Join Friends of the Columbia Gorge and others for an educational public forum on the Eagle Creek fire. Learn how our community can support the recovery of the Columbia River Gorge and also defeat legislation that aims to exploit the fire by accelerating logging in sensitive areas in our beloved Gorge. The program will feature presentations on what happened in the fire and examinations of key challenges moving forward. The program will feature  a keynote address by University of Washington Professor Jerry Franklin, called the father of modern forestry, fire expert Jurgen Hess and leaders from local business, conservation and recreation organizations. Learn more about the forum and register to attend by visiting Friends website .
