6 to 7 PM Lead – The Silent Killer of Eagles and Us All

April 16, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

This meeting is over but here is a recording: https://youtu.be/-QcC05xUJqo

Lead poisons humans and kills hundreds of eagles and other animals every year. Sportsmen and conservationists are teaming up to defeat this age-old problem with improved communication and products. The eagle, shown in the photo above, was one of the Rowena Wildlife Clinic’s worst lead poisoning cases.  Join us and help spread the word.

Presenters:

Jules Burton – Columbia Gorge Community College Professor and owner of The Moth Lounge, HR. This event is part of The Moth’s third Thursday Science Series.

Dr. Jean Cypher – Veterinarian and Founder of the Rowena Wildlife Clinic
